Standard features include a dual-zone automatic climate control system with interior air filter; electroluminescent gauges, push-button start, built-in HomeLink Remote Control, alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, reverse tilt-down exterior mirrors and leather-trimmed shift knob and steering wheel (with built-in audio controls).
Thirteen premium speakers surround you inside the cabin, delivering a concert-like experience from a number of sources- AM, FM, SiriusXM, USB, auxiliary input, Bluetooth or the in-dash 6-disc CD changer. The audio system also offers Automatic Sound Levelizer technology that compensates audio volume when ambient sounds like road noise increase at higher speeds. The IS 250 also has an available Mark Levinson-designed Premium Surround Sound Audio System with 14 speakers. This option also adds the capability of playing back DVD-Audio discs and delivering discrete 7.1-multichannel audio. The 2012 IS 250 comes equipped with a multitude of safety features that assist in accident avoidance, as well as post-crash injury mitigation. Standard features including anti-lock brakes, Vehicle Stability Control and Traction Control, rain-sensing wipers and a direct Tire Pressure Monitor System. The IS also features an array of airbags including a twin-chamber front-passenger airbag that deploys with a slight depression in its center.
